Episcopal Campus Ministry At Boston College

The Episcopal Chaplaincy at Boston College, better known as ECBC [and aka Episcopal Eagles], gathers together every Wednesday night for a home cooked meal, good conversation, and weekly worship. We are a family-like community of undergraduates, graduate students, doctoral students, and faculty, and we are always excited to see new faces join in what we love to do on Wednesday evenings. As the Episcopal Chaplaincy here on campus, we welcome all different faith perspectives and views on life, and provide a warm, safe space for everyone.

There is no better way to take a break from your busy life at Boston College than to allow some time for yourself. These Wednesday nights provide time for good company, but also encourage self-reflection with our sermons and discussions centered around questions, such as “Why do you bother?” “What choices are you faced with?”  “What do the decisions you make say about the person you are?”  “How can you live your life as a college student following what Jesus taught?”

Guests are sometimes featured at our weekly worship, such as the student founder of embrace it africa, Professors Ted Gaiser, John McDargh, Harold Petersen,  and The Rev. James Weiss, as well as our Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Rev. M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE. We also plan special events during exam periods to help students de-stress, such as Taizè meditation and making rosaries as a prayer practice or to give away to others.

Outside of our weekly worship and programs we are involved in a variety of activities.
