What is Shabbat?
Shabbat is the weekly Sabbath or day of rest in Judaism, symbolizing the seventh day in Genesis, after the six days of

Friday, April 4th @ 1pm: Muslim Student Association Friday Prayer Service
All are welcome!
What is Muslim Friday Prayer?
Jumu'ah (also known as Friday prayer) is a congregational prayer (salat) that Muslims hold every Friday,
just after noon. It replaces the dhuhr prayer performed on other days of the week. It is mentioned in the Quran as:
O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of
Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew! (Qur'an 62:9)
And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of
Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.(Qur'an 62:10)
Wednesday, April 9th @ 7pm: Episcopal Chaplaincy At BC: “Instructed” Eucharist
All are welcome!
What is Episcopal Eucharist?
The Eucharist, also called Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper, is one of the two most important Christian sacraments.
Almost every Christian denomination celebrates in some form this rite or ritual of worship and remembrance, which
Christians generally believe Jesus instituted at his last meal with his disciples before being turned over to his
executioners.
The Instructed Eucharist is just like a normal Christian Eucharist, but there is a pause between each section, explaining the
significance of the ritual and tradition being performed. All are welcome to participate to their own level of comfort!
This series is designed as an opportunity to learn more about the faith traditions different from our own.
All the events will be held in the Multifaith Chapel in the residence hall at 66 Commonwealth Ave.
