Beijing Circles is a new program on campus co-sponsored by Episcopal Campus Ministry, the Women's Resource Center and the Office of Graduate Student Life.
Are you interested in issues that face women around the world? Have you always wanted to make a difference in the lives of women at home and abroad? Do you wonder what your faith has to do with this? If so, consider joining us as we start a new “circle” of women where we will connect scripture and prayer to the twelve issues of the Beijing Platform. This program is inspired by a special United Nations’ gathering of women from around the world who combined the “content” of the platform with the “process” of reflecting upon our faith and calling.
Check the calendar for contact details, informational meeting date, time and location. In the traditions of women gathering--yummies and tea will be available!
The Daughters of Abraham is a book club for Christian, Jewish and Muslin women dedicated to the reading and discussion of art and literature from all three Abrahamic traditions. The mission of this group is to create an interfaith community that seeks to overcome stereotypes, foster mutual respect and create an environment for dialogue. Members learn about the commonalities and differences of the three faith traditions, and to speak intelligently about all three traditions, while at the same time deepening their understanding of their own faith.

Ecumenical and Multi-faith Celebrations occur periodically throughout the year. Seasonal holidays such as Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King day present us with the opportunity to share the gifts and traditions of our diverse religious communities, learn from and about one another, and celebrate the gifts of faith.
